"I'm originally from Lieksa, but I ended up in Tampere via Joensuu, Kuopio, Stockholm and Australia. I moved here to Tampere at the end of January for work. So far, I've really enjoyed living in Manse.
At the moment, everyday life mostly revolves around work. I got a job in my field as a sign language interpreter in January and so far I have nothing bad to say. I get to do challenging but rewarding work and every day is completely different. At the moment, I don't have much free time during the week, but the weekends have been spent traveling around Finland. As soon as work and everyday life settle down, I would like to return to my beloved hobby, pole dancing.
Dressing and clothes have a very positive effect on my quality of life. I love fashion and follow various style blogs, and Pinterest is also a great source of inspiration. However, the "inner beauty" of clothes is important to me, which means that the clothes are made of good (natural) materials and are durable. I try to avoid synthetic fiber clothes as much as possible. However, since I like shopping and trying on clothes, flea markets are my best friends in this regard. One of the best feelings is when you find a real find at a flea market.
TOP 5 at the moment:
- Jobs and sign language. I am so grateful to be able to work in a completely new environment and delve deeper into the world of sign language speakers. It is great that at work you learn something new every day and your brain gets to work at its best.
- Summer and festivals. I was in Australia last year and because of this I didn't experience Finnish summer at all. That's why I'm especially looking forward to the coming summer and Ilosaarirock. The Foo Fighters gig is also on the waiting list.
- Sunday walks. It's always wonderful to take a leisurely walk in nature on Sundays and watch how nature wakes up from its long winter sleep with spring. It's also been great to explore a new city on long walks.
- Coffee moments. One of my favorite moments is when I get to sit with my friends in a nice cafe with a good cappuccino and exchange news/improve the world.
- Family and animals. Even though my own family and most of my relatives live on the other side of Finland, we still keep in touch almost every day. It's reassuring to know that everything is fine over there. Sometimes I also really miss the pets from "home" - my parents' house - that I rarely get to pet. Luckily, I get to pet my friends' pets from time to time.
In five years, I would like to see myself as a skilled interpreter. In this field, you will never be completely ready, but a certain unfinished nature is part of the job. However, it would be desirable for my skill level and language skills to develop. It would be important for me to still enjoy my work and for it to give me new challenges."
